Born & brought up in a small city of Maharashtra, India. She has finished her Master’s in Psychology. Having experience as an intern while pursuing her studies worked with Remand home, de-addiction center, mental asylum in India. Before joining The Zubin Foundation, she has worked with two NGOs with experience in organising activities for women and children as well as volunteering with another NGO in Hong Kong. Having an interest and deep feelings towards helping the community, she has decided to continue working with NGOs as her career. She is willing to help needy people in every possible way. She also enjoys spending time with young kids and arranging interesting activities for them. She is willing to gain knowledge in different areas related to mental health, emotional support towards ethnic minority ladies in need. Smita can speak Marathi, Hindi and English. During her off days she likes to spend time with her family, going out for hiking, badminton, doing Yoga practice, volunteer.
